GRADUATE ENGINEER(ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING)

JOB SUMMARY:
 Designs and drafts engineering plans in AutoCAD.
 Performs field research as needed.
 Indexes and maintains files of construction plans.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
 Researches proposed project areas for required information.
 Prepares engineering plans from field notes and research information.
 Designs and drafts engineering plans in AutoCAD.
 Performs all other related duties as assigned.
 Responsive and results-oriented service to the client and the design team.
 Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and schedule assigned work to meet deadlines.
 Strong sense of urgency with a can-do attitude.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred. 
 Engineer-In-Training Certificate (E.I.T.) preferred.
 Two years experience in residential or commercial site design preferred.
 Ability to interpret and apply City and state policies, codes, and standards related to project design and planning.
 Ability to work with architects, developers, and consulting engineers.
 Ability to communicate effectively.
 Ability to read and understand highly technical or specialized material relating to 
project design and engineering specifications.
 Ability to attend work regularly.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 Valid State of Texas Driver’s License (Class “C”) required.
